"Well hello there..." came a sound from an unfamiliar lady at the new rented place that we recently moved into. Later found out that she lives just next door and went on to introduce her family. Sounds like a nice intro to have when we move to a new unfamiliar location. We moved there a month ago, just immediately after we started construction work at our own place where we stayed. We used to stay in a street that was 80ft wide and with walkways that were atleast 20ft wide with age old trees on either side. Now we've moved to a place where the road would probably be about 40ft wide and no trace of footpaths what so ever. Fortunately/Unfortunately we have 3 cars at home and only 2 can be accommodated in front of our house. So we did a small survey at night and found out houses who don't have cars to be parked in front of their house and parked our car there. Everything went well for a couple of days when one fine day, I found a "POST IT" sticky note on my car door saying: "Don't park your car here". I thought to myself ok maybe another house then. Then the next day another lady came up to us and asked us not to park our car in front of their house and then another. We were tired of finding a parking space for our car. So now I park my car in front of my friend's house a couple of Kilometers away and use my bike as a feeder to access my car. The funniest part was the kind of reasons they came up with to tell us not to park in front of their house.. Here are a few..
1. Please don't park here as my guests who arrive sometimes will find it difficult to find a parking space.
2. Please don't park here as my daughter visits me sometimes (once or twice in a month) and she parks her car here.
3. Please don't park here as the street sweeper will not clean under your car and when you remove your car, it will look dirty.
4. I don't know how to reverse my car from the garage properly and your car there is causing more trouble.
5. Please don't park here as it'll cut out the light to the plants in my house..(Wah!! Light at night)
Seriously?? People... we need to redefine the meaning of the word neighbor.

A moron at the wheels!!
Alright, this happened to me on Saturday night when I was just wandering out to a close-by joint to catch up with a couple of thoughts with my friends. We were travelling in my friend's Alto and were halted at a traffic signal. A white cab stopped next to us casually, just when we thought everything was normal and went on with our gossips and laughter ... he started honking at the traffic in front of him. At that moment, we didn't realize if he was honking thinking that there has been a traffic jam ahead or a matter of arrogance that he starts honking knowing that he's standing at a red light. Initially we ignored him but the honking went on, until a guy on a bike gave him a small piece of his mind. But that didn't stop his honking menace and now it was getting on to our nerves. We rolled down our windows and started making faces and gestures to him to make him realize what an Idiot he was, but all that encouraged him even more. Finally, we saw green and started moving on.. but that moron at the wheels went on his honking rampage right behind that bike fellow who had showered him with his choiciest of words from his vocabulary. We took a right turn at the signal and lost sight of them, but we could still hear the honking and the fury of the bike fellow who went on to ride ahead of this guy...Some people just don't get it.. Do they now...

Late night call
I come across numerous specimens on my day to day life as the key part of my job is to talk to people and get them to admit their child in my school. But, talking has some limitations as well I thought... atleast till now.
Just the other night I get a call from an unknown person..... say pretty close to midnight. I'm a kinda milkman material guy.. "Early to bed .. and early to rise" and midnight is like actual 'mid' night to me and through my deep slumber with my eyes still shut, I do a quick treasure hunt for my cell phone to answer the call. With great difficulty I go like.. "Helloooo..." and there's a guy on the other side curious to know about the Abacus and Brain Gym classes that we conduct in one of my schools on the weekends. I said.."Sir, this is no time to talk, please call me back in the morning" and try to hang up. But he wasn't the one to let go, he went on "I've a 7 yr old daughter and would like to know more about the program". I said "Its 11:45 pm, don't you have some time sense?, please give me a call back tomo, i'll give you all the info that you want". He was like, "Ok, but note down my e-mail ID and you can mail me back the details."... Heck ya.. Like I was gonna get up and go hunting for a pen and paper to jot down.. or even browse through my new i-phone to make a note of it. By this time my other half was getting irritated, so I thought to myself (yeah even at midnight, I think .. at times) and said ok go on.. give it to me... and he went on with his part of the conversation.. the last i heard was S as in Sam, Y as in. (Yaaaawwwwnnnnn!!! I suppose).. I don't know when the call got disconnected, but I am pretty sure that it was no freakin dream...

Here's my first one!
Hello fellows,
This has been long due now. I was just being casual in writing about my daily adventures. One fine day I was talking to my college buddy 'JO' and sharing my views and woes with her as I cruised along through the Bangalore traffic towards Yelahanka (27kms from where I live, That's where I work now.. kinda.!!) and she put this thought through my thick skull that I need to document these unique experiences that I encounter in my daily life as some of them are worth sharing with the world. I gave it a good thought of approximately 3 mins and said "Hey, what an Idea Sirjee.." (or madamjee). Let me just get started with whatever I have on my mind right now.
So watch out for this space from now on and let me work the magic in putting a thought/smile/grim/laugh/apathy/sympathy/charity/curiosity/anger/anguish/harmony/peace and much more through your mind.
